Iraqi refugees who recently arrived in the US, Aydi Hawal (not his real name), his wife, his brother and his brother's wife, Skype with their parents who are still in Iraq. The parents and an older brother have also applied for resettlement to the US. The parent's application has been approved and they are waiting for their security clearance to come to the US. The brother's initial security check was denied, but the family does not understand why. Hawal and his family in the US are extremely anxious about the safety of their family members who remain in Iraq due to on-going violence and threats.
