Astrid Betancourt, sister of the French-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt who has been held captive by the FARC marxist guerrillas in the Colombian jungle since February 23, 2002, in her Paris apartment. She is holding the book "Ingrid - My Daughter, My Love," a collection of letters and messages from their mother Yolanda Pulecio Betancourt sent to Ingrid by radio broadcast. A 12 page letter written by Ingrid Betancourt that was recently recovered along with video tapes by Colombian authorities is the first proof that the family has received that Ingrid was still alive since May 2003..Paris, France. 11/12/2007.Photo © J.B.
