The Last Christians of Iraq
Iraqi Christians barbeque and drink whiskey in the courtyard of their house next to the 1300 year old Saint George Chaldean church in the largely Christian town of Ainkawa, just outside Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. Thousands of Iraqi Christians from around the country escaping violence and persecution have moved to Christian areas in the relative safety of northern Iraq and are using Kurdistan seek resettlement abroad.
