Mobutu's Hometown
The remains of the Peking Palace, one of three extravagant residences built by the former ruler of Zaire Mobutu Sese Seko in and around his native village of Gbadolite in Equateur province. The elaborate complex of Chinese pagodas is said to be an exact replica of the Forbidden City.
