Depleted Uranium
Christian Prud'homme, veteran of the 1991 Gulf War, and members of the association AVIGOLFE receive a visit ffrom the Verts député Yves Cochet during a protest at the French National Assembly. Prud'homme has been suffering from unexplained illnesses, including memory loss, severe muscular pain, impossibility to sleep, loss of vision, etc., since his return from the Gulf . He believes his condition is due to exposure to depleted uranium. He does not receive a military pension or health insurance despite years of requests. He has been on a hunger strike for 48 days seeking recognition by the government for all military personnel who suffer from strange illnesses collectively refered to as "Gulf and Balkan War Syndromes.".Paris, France. 29/06/2005..Photo © J.B.
