Cotton Burkina Faso
A boy rests in piles of harvested cotton waiting to be weighed and transported to the processing plant. Despite a record harvest this year, West African cotton farmers are suffering due to all time low prices. Prices have plummeted largely due to enormous subsidies given to US and European cotton producers which underwrites huge over production.
