Babi Nona was the mother of 10 children in a fishing village on the south coast of Sri Lanka. When the December 26, 2004 Tsunami struck the coast she attempted to flee to the village’s Buddhist temple, however she was overtaken by the wave. She succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
