Depleted Uranium in Iraq, January 2001
Families from southern Iraq, the region most heavily affected by depleted uranium contamination, seek treatment at the Saddam Hussein children's hospital in the country’s capital. Medication and medical equipment, in short supply due to the international embargo, are more available in Baghdad than in the south of the country.
